This warm, textured family home brings together architecture and interior design in a cohesive and deeply personal way. Every space was planned around how the family lives now and how their needs will evolve, with a strong focus on joinery, finishes, lighting, and future functionality.

Castellated Spotted Gum clads the entry and reappears throughout the home—in the kitchen, pantry, fireplace and powder room—creating a strong link between exterior and interior. A rich but balanced material palette combines practical surfaces like Talostone benchtops with dark textured cabinetry, warm timber details, and robust finishes to suit everyday family life.

Joinery was a key feature across the split-level layout, offering visual variety while maintaining flow. The pantry extends seamlessly from the kitchen, and a clever design solution combines the family’s prayer space with functional dining storage. Bespoke elements like local concrete hearths, recessed curtain pelmets, and hidden blinds reflect the highly considered detailing.

Durable, sustainable materials were prioritised throughout, including Spotted Gum timber, recycled yarn carpets, and efficient window treatments. With both architecture and interiors designed in-house, this project exemplifies the benefits of a fully integrated design approach—resulting in a home that’s thoughtful, functional and full of warmth.

“We fell in love with Adam's work when viewing other completed properties, so it made complete sense to engage Adam to design our dream family home.”

“From the outset, Adam showed a great understanding of our brief and he was on board with what we wanted in our new home. He was very patient and accommodating of our requests and input during the design process.

Meetings were clearly documented, and revisions of the designs incorporated the previous briefings and his team delivered what we desired in a timely and efficient manner. We engaged Adam to manage the project including interior design services and we were not disappointed.

Sarah managed the many aspects of the interior design process and was simply fantastic.
If Adam is the heart of the project, then Sarah is its soul.
We were most apprehensive about the interior design and how all of the elements would come together, however Sarah went above and beyond and presented great designs and options which made our job so much easier.
Her experience spoke volumes and she made the interior design process a walk in the park.
We are very grateful for her help and for delivering our family home.

We would recommend Adam Hobill Design and thank them for delivering our dream family home.”
