adam hobill
director and principal designer
“If it was easy, everybody would be doing it!…”
Adam lives and breathes the building industry. From a young age he explored building projects being constructed by his family’s small building company and it was a natural progression for Adam to forge a career in the industry.
Adam is passionate about homes being crafted to suit their inhabitants rather than being produced for the masses, and about the idea that a home should enhance your lifestyle and nurture relationships. Known for his ability to understand and work with a client brief, Adam is a leading design professional with a unique ability to deliver so much more than just design services.
There is nothing he enjoys more than witnessing the enjoyment his clients get as they begin a new chapter of their lives in their new home. He has a thorough understanding of the residential building industry that has been honed through the completion of over 500 projects, including building two of his own family homes.
With 25 years of industry experience Adam has seen the best and the worst of the industry and has developed a deep understanding of the key elements that are important to homeowners when designing their homes and navigating the building process.
Adam is a multi-award-winning designer with the Master Builders Association, the Housing Industry Association and Building Designers Association of Australia.
When not scribbling out ideas for his next design, Adam is likely to be kicking a ball or riding a bike with his three kids. When time allows, he loves to get back to the coast; to visit family, eat oysters, walk on the beach and swim in the ocean.
His devotion to the Essendon ‘Bombers’ is unwavering and has prompted many a spirited discussion.
sarah greaves
diploma interior design
interior designer
“ . . . no, I don’t watch ‘The Block’ ”
Sarah is our in-house Interior Designer. Having completed a Diploma of Interior Design and worked for many years in Canberra design offices, Sarah’s engagement opens an exciting chapter in our boutique office.
Sarah has extensive experience in a variety of project types, with a background and passion for residential design. She advocates a collaborative approach to design and loves to workshop ideas with clients throughout the process. Her personal design style and aesthetic is centred around a passion for sustainable design and contemporary Australian design, however her overarching focus is all about creating unique spaces for the client. Sarah enjoys the challenge of finding the client’s design aesthetic (and sometimes pushing those boundaries) to create beautiful, functional spaces for them whilst also integrating the overarching architectural design elements with the AHD team.
Sarah is proud of her Italian heritage, and together with her husband and two daughters, lovingly grow their own veggies year-round. They also make passata and red wine and are keen on trying home-made salami.
Whilst Sarah is a Canberra girl, that doesn’t mean she likes the cold; in fact she loathes it and hopes to one day live somewhere warmer. We hope she hangs around for a long time yet.
tim baxter
advanced diploma building design
senior project and documentation co-ordinator
“great things never came from comfort zones…“
Tim is the most experienced member of our team and a valued contributor to all projects he is involved in. Tim continues to forge new ground in his use and application of REVIT in the office, ensuring that our small office punches above our weight in the quality of drawings and documentation we produce. He is always enthusiastic to share this knowledge and passion with the rest of the team. His documentation is meticulous and consistent across all projects and he is now also leading the office through some exciting advancements in 3D presentation and immersive virtual reality experiences.
Tim is increasingly involved in all stages of project delivery; including client interaction, design, dealing directly with consultants and engaging with builders.
Through his role as ‘Project & Documentation co-ordinator’, Tim has been a key contributor to many of our recent award-winning projects.
In his spare time, Tim loves to experience the outdoors with his young family; camping, four-wheel driving and biking tick all his boxes. He is also a big music fan with a rather eclectic taste, and a more than handy musician, with guitar and piano being his favourites.
Tim is a rugby fan at heart, for which we mostly avoid making fun of.
